Combo iBrows PMU
The best of both worlds — crisp hair strokes up front, soft shading through the rest.
What it is
Combo brows blend two techniques into one: crisp, hair-like microbladed strokes at the front of the brow for realism, and soft powder shading through the body and tail for fullness and depth.
It's the most dimensional, natural-but-defined PMU look — the front reads like real hair, the rest like a flawless filled brow.
What to expect
Your appointment, start to finish.
A 4-hour, multi-step appointment. We consult, then I map and draw the shape for your approval. After numbing, I create the hair strokes at the front and build the shaded body in gradual passes. As with all PMU, a perfecting touch-up at 6–8 weeks finalizes the result.
Results & who it's for
Ideal for anyone who wants the realism of microblading with the staying power and fullness of shading — especially combination skin, or brows that are sparse in some areas and fuller in others. Combo brows last about 1–3 years before a refresh.
Before your appointment
- Disclose any previous brow tattooing or PMU.
- Avoid retinol / Retin-A near the brows for 2–4 weeks, and Accutane within the last year.
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before; follow your doctor on any blood-thinning prescriptions.
- No Botox near the brows for 2–3 weeks prior.
- PMU cannot be performed over active acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, infections, or irritation.
- Bring clear, natural-light photos of your brows at booking.
Aftercare
- Expect bold color and a light peeling phase in the first several days — don't pick.
- Keep the area clean and dry as directed; avoid sweat, sun, saunas, and pools during healing.
- Color softens substantially as it heals, then settles after the touch-up.
- Avoid actives and exfoliants on the brows until healed.
FAQ
Good questions.
What's the difference between combo, powder, and microblading?
Microblading is all hair strokes, powder is all soft shading, and combo blends both — strokes at the front, shading through the rest. Combo is the most versatile for mixed or combination skin.
How long do combo brows last?
Roughly 1–3 years, depending on skin type and lifestyle. A color boost refreshes them when they start to soften.
Is combo right for oily skin?
The shaded portion holds well on oily skin; the fine front strokes may blur a bit faster. We will talk through your skin type at the consult and adjust.
Does it hurt?
You'll feel pressure more than pain — I numb throughout the session to keep you comfortable across the full appointment.
